Jewelery coatings
It should be remembered that the surface of the jewelery is most vulnerable to damage. Jewelery made using the gold or rhodium coating technique, as well as diamond, satin or patinating technology - consists in applying a thin layer of coating on the surface of the product, which gradually wears off when worn. The method of storing and wearing jewelery has an influence on the abrasion rate of jewelery coatings. In order to slow down the abrasion process of the coatings and protect them from damage, it is worth following a few tips:

It is not recommended to wear delicate, coated jewelry over thick sweaters of stiff fabrics.
Before using hairspray or other hair sprays, remove jewelry.
If you use lotions, creams or body oils, wait until they are completely absorbed before putting on jewelry.
In some people, the pH of the sweat can be very acidic, which in contact with coated jewelery may discolor it or cause the coating to abrasion faster. Changing the color of the jewelry is not a hidden defect of the product, just like the natural abrasion process of the coatings, therefore they are not subject to complaint.

Bring back the shine of jewelry

In order to preserve the shine and beauty of jewelery for a longer time, it is recommended to protect it properly and also to properly care for it. Jewelry, both gold and silver, undergoes gradual oxidation, which causes the silver to darken and the gold to lose its shine. Jewelry that has not been worn for a long time and is inadequately secured, is often covered with a layer of dust. The best method of caring for jewelry is to clean it from dust and bacteria with a special cloth. Thanks to its regular use, the jewelry will keep its shine for longer. A special jewelry fluid ARGENTUM can be used for cleaning non-rhodium-plated silver products that do not contain stones and cubic zirconias. Before using it, read the instructions for use carefully. It is not recommended to use cloths frequently in the case of rhodium-plated and gilded jewelery, as it will certainly accelerate the abrasion of the coatings. It is worth handing over heavily contaminated jewelery to specialist jewelers who will restore it in a professional way, restoring its shine.
